Dr. Hageman, the Mentor

Picture

Dr. Hageman focuses on inspiring the individual to guide their passion and necessary self-development to accomplish the worthwhile goal of a meaningful and successful career of their choosing and living a happy fulfilled life.

She has observed throughout her career that all too often, individuals are impeded by their lack of self-knowledge, human interaction skills, and understanding in how to integrate their personality, creativity, personal motivations, and technical skills.

When individuals develop a fluid congruency among their technical knowledge, self-development, and human interaction skills, there is the greater possibility for outstanding achievement and a lifetime of happiness and meaningful work.  In fact, a continually growing balance is important throughout every phase of an individual’s personal life.  In her private practice, Joan incorporates this valuable insight when providing mentoring services to her clients.

Being of aboriginal Cherokee descent, Dr. Hageman has learned from her own experiences and others about the importance of being aware of our connection to nature and to our own body, mind, and spirit.  This realization led Dr. Hageman to develop the mentoring process that she refers to as “The Art of Focus.”  In this process, she teaches others how to become the "harmonized self " in order that the individual's body, mind, and spirit act in synch and in agreement.
